About NHMC

North Humberside Motor Club Ltd was formed in 1968 by the amalgamation of the East Yorkshire Car Club, Hessle and District Motor Club, and the Kingston Car Club.

Known as NHMC we promote numerous motor sporting events throughout the year.

Our current major events are the John Overend Memorial Stages Rally (and Melbourne Junior Rally), which has been running as a single-venue (mixed surface) stage rally at the former RAF base at Melbourne, near York since 2003 (before that it ran at Manby), a single-venue (race circuit) stage rally at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire (since 2014), and (since 2017) a single-venue tarmac stage rally on the Warcup Training Area (military ranges) in Cumbria.

We ran the North Humberside Forest Rally 21 times between 1987 and 2008.

Each year we also run four autotests, and two classic runs.

Members meet every Thursday, about 9 p.m. for a ‘noggin and natter’.

For many years until 1st October 2020 this was at the Ferguson Fawsitt Arms in Walkington (post code HU17 8RX). The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms closed on 4th October 2020 (we were told this was permanent) and from 8th October 2020 our meeting place was  the Bay Horse at Cherry Burton.

However, the Ferguson Fawsitt Arms has now re-opened. The main Noggin and Natter night will now be the first Thursday in the month, from about 8 p.m. in the small snug room. A few Members will also attend on other Thursday nights from about 9 p.m. If you are interested in club motorsport come along and join us – everyone is welcome.

NHMC is Motorsport UK Recognised and a member of five Regional Associations of Motor Clubs:
