With only 6 weeks to go until the Gerry Blythe Memorial Classic Car Tour, I thought it would be a good opportunity to update you on the event. We have received a good foundation of entries thus far (thank you to everyone who has entered to date), the road book is coming along nicely and the plates have been printed. We’re gathering ideas on what to include in the goody bags this year, and the venues are preparing themselves for a busy day!
I also wanted to confirm that there is still space available on the Gerry Blythe Memorial Tour, so if you were thinking about putting your entry in, now would be a great opportunity to reserve your place so you don’t miss out. I would also like to confirm that we plan to send out our final instructions in the preceding 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

I am contacting you as a previous entrant of the Haunted Lincolnshire Classic Car Tour as we are full swing in planning for this year’s event, though this year will see some changes. Firstly, I’d like to apologise to anyone for whom this news is reaching you for the first time, however we are very saddened to share the news that our Father, Gerry Blythe, who began this event alongside me over a decade ago, sadly passed away in January this year. He is so sorely missed and we felt it only fitting to honour his name by changing the previously known Haunted Lincolnshire Classic Car Tour, to the Gerry Blythe Memorial Classic Car Tour. It feels only fitting given how big a part of his life the motorsport community was, including everyone who has joined us in past events. He considered so many of this community his friends, and I’m sure he would be delighted to know that his name has been honoured in this way.
For the past few years we have been grateful to receive a nearly full entry, so we would encourage early entries to guarantee your place on the event.
