Marshals
Marshalling is open to everyone and is a good point to start getting involved in Motorsport. For new members it is a good way of getting to know other club members and enthusiasts.
From January 2016 the MSA (as it then was, now Motorsport UK) have introduced an online training and accreditation scheme. The training should take no longer than 45 minutes, including the assessments. It is important to note that the online training is a supplement to, and not a replacement for, the high quality face-to-face training sessions that are currently being delivered across the UK.
Simply register online via Motorsport UK’s web site https://motorsportuk.org/. In “Get Started” follow the Volunteering and the Marshalling link, and follow instructions to get to the online training
For 2017, the online training and accreditation is only compulsory for newly registering marshals. However please note that those marshals who are currently registered with Motorsport UK will need to complete the online training before being issued with their 2018 Registration card. You will only need to complete this course once in your marshalling career.
From January 2016 there has been a buddy system for unregistered marshals, to help ensure we do not lose opportunities to recruit new volunteers . This means unregistered marshals can still marshal but must be with a registered marshal.
