Bishop Wilton Show – 15 July 2023

I have been asked to publicise Bishop Wilton Show on Saturday 15th July.

They are having a classic car show as part of the main event, gates open at 8 a.m.  It’s the 125th. anniversary of the Show. There is a classic car section and any car over 20 years old gets free entry.

Steve Howard RIP

I have received the sad news that Steve Howard has passed away on Sunday  after a short illness at the age of 80 Years.

The older members will remember Steve from his days at Crystal of Hull and co-driver for Mike Jackson

Caves Classic Run – 9 July 2023

This year’s Caves Classic run will be held on Sunday 9th July 2023 and features a new start venue and a new half way halt venue. We have a new Route coordinator also and the entry fee includes 2 hot drinks and hot snacks for both crew members.Once again we are indebted to our sponsor’s Robert Wooley Accountants and Tax Advisors of Shiptonthorpe.

The Kielder Forest Rally takes place on Saturday 17th June. With almost 45 miles of stages utilising three double-run stages, we need marshals to help the event run. The event is a round of the BTRDA Championship, Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Historic Cup, Motorsport UK English Rally Championship, SG Petch ANECCC Championship, Motoscope HRCR Northern Historic Stage Rally Championship and the MG£ Championship, so a good entry is envisaged.
