Club Meetings – Ferguson Fawsitt Arms

The club  returned to the Ferguson Fawsitt Arms at Walkington last Thursday. The new landlord Alan, (who used to be at the Tiger Inn) welcomed us. We had about 25 members present.. We used the bit they call the snug.

We would like to do  the following.

First Thursday in the month, which was usually geriatrics night, we make our main night and try to start at 8.0pm. Alan says he cannot book the room out to us exclusively, but has he said, we just took it over, there wasn’t a problem.

Then any other Thursday the small numbers that attend can just take over a corner, but not in the dining room were we used to be

Subject: Kielder Forest Rally – Request for Marshals

Dear all

The 2022 Kielder Forest Rally will take place in Kielder on Saturday 18th June 2022.

This inaugural event will take place at the third attempt due to Covid, with the base in Hexham with the HQ at the Auction Mart and the competitive stages in the Kielder Complex around the reservoir.

There are three stage venues that will be run twice. We need marshals of all disciplines, timing marshals (Arrival, Start, Flying Finish & Stop, along with passage control), radio operators (Start, Stop & In-stage) and in-stage marshals. Ferguson Fawsitt Arms, Walkington – 7 April 2022

Ian Sadofsky has been in touch with the Fergy Fawsitt and we are welcome to return on a Thursday night. So we going to try a week on Thursday 7th April. Usual time of about 9.0pm, but could try a little earlier.

We have not made any specific arrangements, but will see how it goes.

I understand that the car parking area has been reduced.

NHMC membership for 2022 & April/May 2022 Club Magazine

A reminder (if you have not paid them) that North Humberside Motor Club membership fees for 2022 were due at the beginning of January.

The April/May club magazine will be issued soon. If you receive hard copies of the cub magazine through the post, then if you have not renewed your membership for 2022, this is the last magazine you will receive.

In case you don’t know, Dennis Robinson (NHMC’s membership secretary) is in hospital – if you renewed your membership directly with Dennis after 17th February (rather than using the form on the club’s website), then we don’t know you have renewed (because the latest copy of the membership database I have from Dennis is from 17th February). Dennis and I don’t think there is anyone in this position, but please contact us if you have renewed your membership recently and have not heard anything back.

If you are renewing your membership now, please use the renewal form on the club’s web-site (at https://northhumbersidemotorclub.co.uk/nhmc-membership-renewal-2022/) which goes to more than one person.
