Important News Flash from Eastwood & DMC –
Harold Palin Stages Rally Sunday 1st May 2022 – on behalf of the Committee and the Organising Team, I regret to announce that due to a variety of conspiring issues including a date clash with another event on another venue and ongoing heavy farming equipment work on our venue, the Club has made the sad decision to cancel the HP Stages for 2022.
We still shall be running the ever popular Phoenix Stages at Fulbeck on Sunday 7th August 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you all for a full entry and lots of Marshals, to a great days motorsport. Thank you.

Subject: MARSHALS PLEASE!! – Leconfield, Sunday 1st May
Good morning all.
Sheffield & Hallamshire MC are running not one, but two events at DST Leconfield (HU17 7LX) this year – Sunday 1st May and Sunday 28th August.
I’ve been asked to be the Chief Marshal for the Sunday 1st May event, so I’d love to see your smiling face on that day!
(There’s another event at Fulbeck on the same day, but obviously I’d far rather you came marshalling at Leconfield – just a personal opinion, of course!)
If you were at the Leconfield event last year, you’ll know what a great venue it is – fast smooth tarmac, and some unusual features – and if you didn’t, why not come and find out??
We’re getting great co-operation from the MoD staff there, and with the (hopefully!) relaxed Covid regulations, the 2022 event should be even better!
Further event details will follow, but initially, could you please email me back and confirm whether or not you will be available and willing to help marshal there on 1st May?

Leconfield Rally

The Ferguson Fawsitt will re-open near the end of March … dependent on decorators’ schedule.
The new management will welcome NHMC back, as in the past.
Further details on the re-opening as and when.
It would be good to have a large turnout on April 7th providing it is open by then.
Robert and John have put a short newsletter together which will be on the NHMC web-site and going out in hard copy to those who have requested magazines by post in the next week.
Gavin Heseltine, among the many other roles he did for NHMC, was our Magazine Editor – we desperately need a Magazine Editor – if you have an interest in desktop publishing and fancy helping out, please contact Robert Newlove
North Humberside Motor Club Limited regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2022 NHMC Warcop Stages Rally which was scheduled for Easter Sunday, 17th April 2022.
Following the unexpected death just before Christmas of Gavin Heseltine, a key member of our organising team, we have looked carefully at our manpower to run this event. In addition to the loss of Gavin, another key member of the team is not available this Easter and two other members of the team are unlikely to be available because of work commitments.
This leaves us too short of senior organisers to be able to promote an event of the quality we always strive to provide and we have decided it is better to cancel than to run a sub-standard event.
We plan to run the NHMC Warcop Stages on Easter Sunday 2023.

We have heard that the Fergie might be opening again mid-March.
Before I go and start any negotiations on making any arrangements for either NHMC or BDMC to resume meetings there on our regular Thursday night slot, can NHMC members give me an indication as to whether they would again resume the noggin and natter night if the Fergie opens again.
The Bay Horse have been very hospitable but parking is dire and it is not central to our membership.

You can renew your membership either:
Payment can be made by a direct transfer to the club’s bank account or by cheque sent to the Membership Secretary. We believe that the club’s bank is now charging for banking of cheques, so payment by bank transfer is much preferred.
