Good evening,

I am contacting you as a potential marshal for the Twyford Wood Stages. This event will take place on Saturday 22nd October 2022. It has only recently been given the go ahead, so you may not have it on your marshalling calendars.

Twyford Wood is just off the A1 south of Grantham.

If you are able to attend please reply with the following information –
1)      Marshal or radio?
2)      If marshalling, do you have a Motorsport UK ID?
3)      If so, what is your license number.
4)      Please state if you can help at stage start/finish with timing.
5)      If radio, will you be double manned in your vehicle?

I have gathered my list of marshal e mail addresses from a variety of sources. Effectively that means you have kindly volunteered on a previous event. Consequently it may be that you live too far from the venue. If so, please accept my apologies for contacting you.

It may be that my contact details are out of date and you no longer wish to marshal or be radio on events. Again, if so, please accept my apologies.

I look forward to hopefully seeing you at Twyford Wood on 22nd October

John Overend Memorial Stages Rally/Melbourne Junior Rally

Entry numbers are disappointingly low at the moment, however, following an organisers’ meeting tonight I can announce that we are definitely running the John Overend Memorial Stages Rally and the Melbourne Junior Rally.

Lots of entries are still available for any more crews that wish to take part …

Next club meeting (5th May) and John Overend Memorial Stages Rally (19th June)

Just a reminder, that the next Monthly Meeting at the Ferguson Fawsitt is next Thursday 5th May, hopefully we can get some of us there a bit earlier about 8.0pm, we meet in the room behind the bar, it used to be called the snug.

 

On another note we need help with the setting up of Melbourne Airfield, the John Overend is on Sunday 19th June, so we need help on Friday and Saturday, 17th and 18th June. Sheffield & Hallamshire Leconfield event – co-driver wanted – 1 May 2022

As I appear to have secured a run on the Sheffield and Hallamshire  Leconfield event (May 1st), I now require a co- driver, Qualifications in order of importance,

1)            A sense of humour,
2)            Current safety kit, overalls helmet HANS, etc. and licence,
3)            Know left from right (your way, my way, might do),

Still lots to do to car still working on it, need to sort car passport, etc., so a start is not 100% certain but thought I would put request out now.

Important News Flash from Eastwood & DMC –

Harold Palin Stages Rally Sunday 1st May 2022 – on behalf of the Committee and the Organising Team, I regret to announce that due to a variety of conspiring issues including a date clash with another event on another venue and ongoing heavy farming equipment work on our venue, the Club has made the sad decision to cancel the HP Stages for 2022.

We still shall be running the ever popular Phoenix Stages at Fulbeck on Sunday 7th August 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you all for a full entry and lots of Marshals, to a great days motorsport. Thank you.
