Ladies and Gentlemen

I am pleased to announce that we can now get some YMC motorsport underway – obviously social distancing MSA no contact / paperwork rules will be strictly observed.

AUGUST CLUBDAY AUTOTESTS

The August clubday Autotests are to take place on Sunday the 16th August at Acaster, site will be arrowed left off the York / Bishopthorpe to Acaster Selby road.

Those planning to compete should down load an entry form from the YMC Website, complete and email to “clubdays@yorkmotorclub.org.uk“. Once received details will be emailed with how to pay the £12 entry fee by bank transfer, attached to the email will be the test drawings so competitors can print them off themselves. No paperwork / money will be accepted on the day.

No time cards will be issued, the times will be recorded by each marshal on a check sheet, competitors can make a note of times for their own reference.

Anyone having problems complying with the above please let me know.

Offers to Marshal would be appreciated

NICK AYRE AUTOTESTS

Alwoodley Motor Club will be running the annual Nick Ayre Autotest on the 9th August at Acaster Airfield, this event is a round of the MSUK Autotest Championship and the BTRDA Autotest Championship and will be run under a RS Clubman permit.  If anybody is interested in blowing off a few cobwebs after this long drought in motor sport and would like to enter or help out marshalling then please give Andrew Cohen a call on 07766511486 for details.  For anybody who would like to compete the tests will be more challenging than those on a club day, but good experience, and for those who would like to help marshal rough timings would be getting there at around 9:00 and being finished around 15:30 to 16:00 with a break for lunch.  There will be 18 tests in total which will be either 2 tests run 9 times or 3 tests run 6 times, this will depend on the man power available, either way it will be a good day’s motorsport after a long break.

SEPTEMBER CLUBDAY AUTOTESTS

The provisional date for the September event is Sunday the 13th, again at Acaster.
