An update on Eastwood & District Motor Club’s plans for the Harold Palin Memorial Stages.
David
Dear Radio Crews and Marshals,
As promised, following on from the Prime Ministers announcement earlier this week, I’d like to provide you with an update on the Harold Palin Memorial Stages, supported by SMR Agriculture and DBM Construction.
In line with the easing of government restrictions over the coming months and Motorsport UK now issuing permits for the resumption of competitive motorsport we are pleased to announce that we are running the event on Sunday 2nd May as planned.
The event will run to the same format as the event in October, with 6 stages run in the same direction at 1 minute intervals.
Covid-19 precautions will still be in place for this event meaning the rule of 6 will apply, maintaining 2m social distance from anyone not in your bubble and face coverings required as necessary. I think we have all got used to these measures by now, so hopefully this won’t come as a shock to you!
Please find a link to our club release video for the event here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc44X5UCC2M&feature=youtu.be
If you would like to marshal or provide radio support for this event, please let me know by email. Unfortunately as with last year’s event, numbers will be restricted, so we will be allocating marshals and radios on a first come first served basis.
We will also be running the Phoenix stages at Fulbeck Airfield on Sunday 1st August and we are really hoping that the majority of Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted and we can run at full capacity for staffing the event and with the option of being able to stay over at the venue for those who would like to.
Please let me know as soon as you can if you are able to support us for this event and we look forward to seeing as many of you there as we can accommodate at this time.
As ever, any questions – just ask!
Kind Regards
Simon and Kathy
