From Dennis Robinson …
Can all members with radios, Alpha Radios and Management Radios please let Dennis know what you have and if you are not using yours on the NHMC Cadwell Stages Rally on 21st November, can you arrange to get them to Dennis.
Thanks,
Dennis
From Ian Sadofsky:
The next Targa Rally that North Humberside Motor Club is involved with is the Annual Rally of the Tests. This is one of the big events organised by HERO/ ERA and to date has an entry of over 70 cars.
We have been asked to run 2 tests on Tockwith Airfield near Tadcaster, west of York on Friday 5th November.
First car is provisionally due at 12.00, so a sociable time and fairly nearby.
Further info is on the HERO events web site.
If you can marshal on this event please let me know along with numbers in your team.
Regards,
Ian
From John Newlove:
Although I have not seen any information I understand that the Malton Forest Rally will be going ahead on the 7th November.
We usually help Elizabeth on Gale Rigg, I have asked her for some details.
Chris Andrews who ran Langdale on Rally Yorkshire is also running Langdale on Malton and has also asked for help.
Please let me know if you are available and which stage you would like to volunteer for.
I will send out more details when I have them
John

Hi,
This rescheduled event is this Saturday, 28th, in Bowling Park, Bradford, and is now running with, (so they say) a permit, and Steve Smith as C/C.
They would like some more marshals to assist from about 08:30, entry on Bowling Hall Rd, that’s not far from the top of the M606.
It does sound like a good day out, so have a look at :- https://whatson.bradford.gov.uk/lombard-rally-festival-bradford/
If you could help out for a few hours, then please just turn up on Saturday. I am sorry this is such short notice, but I only heard about it yesterday, and with two rallies also this weekend, they are going to be short.
Thanks,
Ted
If you need me urgently please ring the mobile as I do not live on my computer. Thanks.
From John Newlove:
Hi everyone,
Looks like the Vale of York is short of marshals, I didn’t have a great response from our club, is anyone else available to help please.

I wrote earlier about the Vale of York Stages. We are still trying to recruit both marshals and radio crews. We are looking a bit thin on the ground at the moment, September looks very busy already and I understand that some may be reluctant to come out given recent events and indeed some of you may have decided that this is an opportune time to reconsider the silliness of early starts to stand in the middle of a draughty airfield. Good Evening,
I appreciate that radio/marshal requests have been a bit scarce from me for the past 12 months! Hopefully things are beginning to get back closer to normal and I might be able to see/speak to some of you soon.
I have a couple of requests if you fancy a day out! Continue reading “Wearside Classic (5 Sep), Cheviot Stages (24 Oct), Roger Albert Clark Rally (November)”

Please see email (below) from Richard Elms chief marshal for the Vale of York stages on Melbourne in September..
I know it is a little early to commit fully to the date but please let me know if you think you would be available.
Thanks
John
It’s that time again, I’m recruiting for the Vale of York Stages again. We are back at Melbourne Airfield. It has changed a lot since many of you were last there with us in 2019. Continue reading “Vale of York Stages – Melbourne – 12 September 2021”

You might be aware the Sheffield and Hallamshire Motor club are running a stage rally on Leconfield at the end of August
More details from https://sandhmc.co.uk/rainworth-skoda-rally.html
Jon Leckonby who helps on many of our events has given me some brief details for marshals but admits things are rather late.
He says
Details are being worked on but assume ‘COVID’ online signing on, marshals to arrive 7-7.30, bring your own food and plenty of water. MOD will need everyone’s ID. More info to follow ASAP! At this point we need marshals, radios, and timing, start and stop line crews – so all offers gratefully received!.
If you want to get involved please let me know.
Thanks
From John Newlove:
North Humberside will not be running Langdale this year on Rally Yorkshire . Trackrod Motor Club wanted a commitment very early in the year from us and given the ongoing Covid pandemic we were unable to commit to this at such an early stage.
They have therefore appointed a new stage Commander in Chris Andrews from Buccaneer Motor Club
However we will be involved in the stage with marshals etc.
If you can help on this year stage please email Chris chrisandrews81@btinternet.com
If you have a preference such as timekeeping or something please let him know.
